Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd MArch

Thursday – developing consensus guidelines around pre-operative preparation of patients

How should we prepare patients for anaesthesia? During three stimulating sessions lead by entertaining speakers we will attempt to find answers for Horses, Ruminants, Pigs and Small animals – with the hope of developing future guidelines in this contentious area.

Friday – Pain day

On the final day of the full congress we have three fascinating pain related lectures, covering some of the neurobiology underpinning the control of pain, the challlanging field of pain assessment in neonates, and a round table discussion covering the perioperative use of NSAID’s – which should we prioritize, osteoblasts, neurons, or, nephrons?
