  • Climate

    During March, the average temperature is 7°C. The average low temperature is 4°C, while the average high temperature is a comfortable 10°C. The precipitation in March is generally below the average annual rainfall but we would always recommend having an umbrella to hand!

  • Currency and Banking

    The UK uses the pound sterling . Bristol airport has currency exchange services in each terminal. Euro and dollars are not always accepted in restaurants and hotels. We recommend that you check first.

  • Electricity

    British Standard BS 1363 requires use of a three-wire grounded and fused plug for all connections to the power mains (240V, 50Hz)

  • Shopping

    Shopping in Bristol comes in all shapes and sizes. Whether you’re looking for a tiny pop-up selling locally designed fashion or a whopping great mall with everything under one roof – this city really is the shopping capital of the South West UK.

  • Tipping

    Service is usually included in the bill in bars and restaurants but tips are welcome. If you consider the service good enough to warrant a tip, we suggest about ten percent.
