Welcome to Bristol
Welcome to the Bristol AVA – the 2019 spring meeting of the Association of Veterinary Anaesthetists!
It is our pleasure to invite you to join us in Bristol from the 20th to 23rd of March 2019 for the AVA’s spring conference. We are very excited to have been able to put together a fascinating program covering Laboratory Animal Anaesthesia and Analgesia, Pain Physiology, controversies in NSAID use during the perioperative period, and, anaesthesia for patients with respiratory dysfunction. In addition, we are thrilled to be hosting sessions which aim to develop consensus on the best approach to preparing patients for anaesthesia with a focus on Horses, Ruminants and Companion animals.
Bristol is an ancient trading city which has built on its international links over the years to cement its place as one of the UK’s most vibrant cultural centres. It has a strong artistic scene lead by the eponymous Banksy, fantastic music, theatre, and a wide range of excellent international cuisine. Come and join us in the sunny South West for an excellent AVA meeting – and don’t forget to try the Cider!
